So I think I created a monster...

Postby Lunchbox on Sun May 13, 2012 3:27 pm

Took the girlfriend shooting yesterday for basically the first time in her life (she shot a shot gun ONCE way back when). The first trip was fun took our time blowing through 350 rounds. We got back home, I told if she was going to shot she had to learn how to clean the gun, I wasn't even finished before she wanted to go back to Bill's South. Blew through another 400 rounds, both trips I spent more times loading magazines for her to shoot, until she found my loader in my range bag then she took over. All in all it was a fun day, although she did shoot up the majority of what ammo I had on hand. After we got home after the second trip she was grilling me on what she needs to buy a gun and wants me to find one for her.

Very nice!! I get kinda sad hearing about wives and girlfriends that do not share an interest in shooting.
Did she shoot well?

Congrats! I've been married for nearly eleven years and my wife finally got the fever just a couple of months ago. Now she has passed a six-week NRA gun safety class, and is going for her PTC in two weeks!

I think its funny, she went from not liking guns to wanting to buy one of her own.

She shot well enough considering it was her first time with a handgun... The majority of them were at least on the paper. I wasn't so concerned with over all accuracy as long as she was safe, had fun and at least hit the paper.

If you like having money and ammo laying around you will regret ever thinking that.

I'd rather she spend money on ammo than other ridiculous girly things! :D But I'm not that lucky.

I gave her my 357 with one shot. All I said was "you'll be fine". Lunchbox asked if it was 38 sp. Oh yeah .... its special.
She handled that full power magnum with a grin. Im mean

She's pissed she wasn't able to see the fireball that thing belches out.

I can't give you any tips on coaxing her into it. I got lucky she wanted to go shooting at some point, she also told me before I bought my Sig that she got to shoot it.

Since I can't resist, if you need someone to cover you while reloading then carry more mags and make your shots count? :bolt:
