Taurus TCP

Postby AndrewGrant on Mon May 14, 2012 11:23 am

Just went to bills and put about 500 rounds of ammo through my new Taurus TCP .380.

First impressions are really good. It ate everything i put into it. Tula, Herters brass, Zombie-max, and some hand loads. The recoil wasnt as bad as i was expecting seeing how small it is. Left a small brusie between my thumb and pointer finger.

I had read reviews that said these come with rough edges and bad machining on the slide, ramp, and barrel. I didnt see or experience anything to support those claims. It functioned very well and smoothly. The double action trigger pull was long and gracefully smooth.

All the Taurus naysayers should reconsider some of these new Made in USA pistols. I am super happy with my purchase. I have seen these little six rounders go for $199-$230 depending on the accessories. Mine came with a nice bulldog belt holster case (looks like a cellphone case) and two six round magazines.

Anyone else just love this gun?

Yep, I love mine... great little gun and point shoots exceptionally well for me. I recommend it to anyone looking for a little .380 for pocket carry, etc... it's hard to convince the Taurus naysayers, but whatever... I'm very happy with mine and I'll put it head to head with any of the competition at twice the price.
