Ooh I'm jealous, I've wanted a Speed Six for years. Got a 3" stainless GP100 in the meanwhile and love it.

Oh and I love my 2 1/4" SP101 too. I see on Ruger's web site now they sell a 4.2" model with a fiber optic front sight which seems really neat. But if you're not gonna carry it, I'd go with the GP.

yeah, the 4.2" is a really cool looking gun, feels very nice, but my thought is, well, why?! you still only have 5 rounds of capacity, and it's getting into the GP100 size. just go with a GP100 then, right?!

Well, if somebody has decided (for reasons I can't imagine) that they will never carry it, then capacity's not important. But yeah, I agree with you.

If I ever get around to buying a handgun that's not for carry it might be a reproduction Walker Colt.
