Nothing wrong with a .25. Many would consider it perfect for whitetail and I have droped many with one.

After re reading this thread, I think I am gonna carry my AR as a backup to my Blackhawk for deer hunting :cogitating: :rotf:

If you decide to go with a .25acp that's fine, but try to limit your shots to 20 feet or so and aim for the ear hole. Choose a quality projectile.
