Shooting my Dad's Ruger Mk 1 and .45 Blackhawk I was probably eight or nine, so thirty three years-ish.

I've never shot a gun before, they're evil and better left to the authorities to deal with. 8-)

14 years, I was a late to the party and didn't start shooting until I was in my early 20's though.

I bought my first gun (a Taurus 608 8 shot .357 that I still have) not too long after I bought my house, about 18 years ago when I was 30. I came from a liberal inner city background and therefore had never shot a gun before that time. For the next 6 or so years I would only shoot that revolver about 2-3 times a year at Bill's. But then I felt the urge to have a semi auto, and stepped firmly onto a very slippery slope.

Was shooting my grandfathers Teddy Williams 22 since '97, shotgun probably around '04. Didn't start to shoot centerfire rifles a whole lot until this last fall, and I started pistols in summer of '11. Now I have come full circle and shoot way more 22 than anything else.

Edit: If we are counting BB guns, then I started with an old old daisy in '95. It is still around here somewhere, just put a new stock on it last month.

I hunted once or twice when I was a kid, but never had a "Gun" upbringing.

I'd have to say that I've been shooting regularly for about 10 years.

I started shooting when I was about 5 years old. I started on a .22 learning gun safety and how to shoot from my Dad. Been shooting ever since. I'm 25 now so about 20 years.
