I also carry a G22 in a IWB, depending on clothes, holster, and situation 3-4 o clock position. no problems, even with a slightly lighter trigger pull. I keep my favorite typing finger out of my holster and more importantly my pants, and no ND's , more importantly, no one thinks I am scratching my butt in public

I already do all that was suggested, I appreciate everyone's insight. I have always tried to follow the "a little bit of caution never hurt anyone" mentality with guns. It seems like I need to just keep doing what I'm already doing.

Thanks again,

Your XD has 2 safetys on it. Grip and trigger. One without the other, it will not (should not ) go bang. Now to test them clear your XD, check it again that it is clear. Grip it so as not to depress the grip safety and pull on the trigger, should not go click. Now grab your XD so as to depress the grip safety. Now reach in and pull on the trigger without depressing the trigger safety.it should not go click. This should be done on a regularly.

I like the 3lb triggers on Glocks, but my carry/defensive pistols stay stock. Fun/target pistols get the trigger jobs....

Cops carry striker fired pistols all the time...

Wait, that might not be the best example...

I carry striker fire for a carry weapon, and never worry about a AD. Just keep that finger off the trigger and use a high quality holster. Problem solved.

I have been carrying an XDm daily for over a year now. Same safeties, as has been said if you keep your finger off the trigger it WILL not go off.

You did forget to list one safety, the drop safety or lawyer safety. Unless the trigger is pulled back (which means grip safety and trigger safety disengaged) you can not disengage the drop safety and the drop safety blocks the striker from moving forward enough to lite a round off.

My striker fired pistol is perfectly safe, no way for it to accidentally fire. Granted it's a P7M8 so you Glock guys take that with a grain of salt. :)
