It seems like there are a lot more armed street robberies happening north of Dowling Avenue these days than there used to be. I'm going to have to be extra cautious, I live within a half mile of many of those locations.
The bold type giveth, the fine print taketh away.

Re: Reports From the 4th, Minneapolis

Postby Humphrey Bogart on Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:33 am

I've been reading reports from the 4th for over a year..

Sometime with a Google Map window open on the second monitor.

4th precinct is a 'no man's land' day or night.

We've imported the 'Permanent Criminal Underclass' from Chicago and Detroit.

What's missing is anything from the local media connecting the Libs to the bleeding

bodies and dead 6 year olds.

Tne new Chick Chief of Police won't make a bit of difference.

Re: Reports From the 4th, Minneapolis

This next week's one will be interesting to see with the "full Moon effect". Not sure if we'll see a difference, but I know the ER at our hospital had its fair share of full-moonness.

Oh yeah, too all my fellow MNGT'ers. If having symptoms suspicious of a stroke or heart attack, please don't be a dumba-- and wait until 5 day's after symptoms start, we can't do much about it then. 2 hours or less after start of symptoms? Strokes are potentially completely reversible, and heart attack damage minimized. A few patients learned that the hard way the last few days (they where too busy having fun while having full on stroke symptoms). Things to watch out for:

Sudden strange numbness in arm or leg or face that can't be easily attributed to anything.

Burning pain or aches or sharp pains that start in chest and radiate down one or both arms.

Inability to talk correctly (or chew, swallow, etc.)

Feeling "fuzzy" that doesn't go away when sitting down with some non-alcohol beverage (that can be a sign of heat exhaustion/heat stroke-if it subsides then you know, but get checked anyway).

Arm or leg that won't function the way you try to make it work.

There's more, but in general, when things don't seem right, stop whatever your doing and figure out if you just need a break (it's going to be hot and humid this wknd), or if its possibly something more.

Taz off soapbox now, resume precinct highlights.

The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.
