Dave-HuldraArms wrote:It sounds like their sale prices, even with the bulk pack, are still higher then our normal prices. Even at $90/250 rounds or 5 boxes, thats $18 a box/50, our prices are lower then that on most of the calibers you listed. Again for some reason I can't recall what 45 is at the moment, Ill swing into a store and find out. Up to you where you spend your money, but I know where I shop. In most of our stores the pistol ammo is across from the pistol case and rifle ammo is very close to the counter, we try to keep them together. In some stores we have more space then others, but I can assure you its worth it to find it, we really want to keep our prices as low as possible and be the go to place for firearms and ammo.

If we put a register in sporting good you wouldn't buy any pretzels :D .

Thanks guys!
Dave

Don't get me wrong I buy most of my ammo at fleet farm. I would love to know what the better ammo is at a cheaper that you carry. Maybe the other stores have different inventory, but the Lakeville store does not have better ammo than blazer brass for cheaper. The only thing cheaper than their blazer brass which is 19.99/50 (for .40) is the blazer steel cases and the WWB value pack. The 9mm is a different story as you have the UMC at 11.99 which is a good deal and now that it is on sale for 9.99 you definitely cannot beat that price.

On the bright side I did go in there yesterday to buy a box of 44 mag and saw the blazer brass bulk packs that they just got in yesterday. The regular price $90 for the 250 round .40 and the 350 round 9mm and I think the guy said $87 for the 200 round .45, this is the same price that Gander puts it on sale for so good for FF starting to compete with that.

I also like that you guys now have a 10 pack of full sized silhouette targets now for $10 as well, cheaper than getting them at the range.

Inventory from store to store will and may vary slightly but generally we try to have UMC, American Eagle, Blazer both brass and aluminum, and Win White Box. Maybe a few others as well but I know those are core lines of practice ammo. I know that these are similar brands, so I don't recall saying our brands were better, but our prices were. For example you listed the bulk back on sale which came out to $18 a box of 50. We sell Win White Box 100 round box of 40 for $34 and some change, just under $35, so our everyday price is $17.50 a box/50.

Thanks again for your support of our stores.

I'm definitely not upset, and certainly not saying it has anything to do with you or the firearms department. In fact, I didn't expect you to reply at all. I am disappointed that demand for overalls is so low that FF doesn't think it's worth stocking them, and I was speaking figuratively with the "end times" remark. (I'm agnostic/atheist, depending on how you define the terms.)

I appreciate that you're here as a representative of the company and have to maintain a certain amount of decorum, but I don't think anyone would hold it against you if you ignored stuff or just said "Sorry, not my department." (In fact, you could probably tell me to bugger off without raising a single objection. )

No worries, I like interacting with our fine folks. I will forward your request to the director in charge of coveralls, and the VP of overalls, between the two we'll see what they can do. :D how's that

Thanks for quoting that, I should read my older posts before I post. Anyways, in my experience some of the other brands that we carry, in my opinion, are higher quality then Blazer brass. Ive shot a lot of Blazer brass, and still buy it, but usually for the price. Not saying its bad ammo, or that some of the other lower priced practice ammo brands are a whole lot better, but that's been my experience. Thanks again for supporting our stores.

I found this...

http://www.chaskaherald.com/news/genera ... a1cfa.html

Which states they are hoping for July 10th!

Of course that may change depending on a lot of factors I am sure.

I am actually out of the loop on the Carver store. Last I heard was July as well. Sorry I don't have more info, my main project lately has been our new shooting center and our rifles. If I hear anything I'll update you.

If youre looking for a holster, Fleet Farm now carries Galco holsters, or at least they're in my Hudson location now.... They have a nice big 3 rack display with many models. Their King Tuk IWB sells for 50.99 IIRC...

Lots more stuff is on the way according to the guys there.

Blaine had the Galco holsters as well, noticed a few more Magpul items in stock as well.

Dave - Any chance you guys will pick up and sell 7.62 NATO surplus in quantity? I bet an awful lot of folks with hungry M1A, CETME, FAL and G93's would appreciate it (myself included).

Also, you might want to check the pricing on your Hot Shot Romanian .223/5.56 ($399 for an 800 round tin), those dark green spam cans haven't moved off the shelf in Blaine at all while I've been watching it, priced higher (per round) than the Federal XM193bk and XM855 in the 30 cal cans.

Since we are in request mode, let me jump on the band wagon. .30-06 surplus ammo for M1s or at least start carrying the american eagle or hornady .30-06 loads that are loaded for M1s.

Midway and some others had some Korean surplus along with the Greek that's in the channel - should be something FF can obtain if demand merits?
