CZ SP-01 Shadow Target question

Postby RyanTV on Wed Jul 04, 2012 7:23 pm

I just bought a CZ SP-01 Shadow Target and noticed that there was an additional recoil spring with it, is it heavier or lighter than the recoil spring that comes already on the guide rod? Thank you for any info!

Correct, the Shadow Target in a Production gun. I got the extra spring but can not seem to find what weight it is or the reason for the additional spring.....

It's a heavier spring if you shoot ammo with harder primers or the CZ kadet 22 conversion.

How does a heavier spring effect hard primed MIL-SPEC Ammunition? The Cadet Comes with its own spring set.

What exactly did you find out for the springs? Pinnacle is right that the Kadet kit already has the spring in it.

Was it an Angus mod or stock gun? I have not seen one with the extra spring included.

It was a CZ Custom Shop gun, my CZ SP-01 Shadow Target came with a second mainspring.

Measur ethe Diameter of the Spring with Calipers and count the number of coils - wont get you a weight - but will give you an idea if it heavier than the one in the gun
