Mac, that parts easy, you have me stop and pick it up on one of the twenty or so times I pass by SG every week and I'll get it to you at either the steel shoot or north breakfast, you could even pick up at my place of employment.

I'll need plenty of warning before we do an outing - I'll need time to go thru my pile to find the ones that aren't still cosmo'd! (or pick one that is and clean it up!) Went thru a phase when evil Fleet Farm had them on sale too often! And I might need to check the ammo pile - I might be out of everything except the good silver-tips (and I want to keep most of that for when the zombies arrive! :o )

You must get *****-pad. Make shoot long time easy.

Don't forget to put the PAST on under your shirt, then you can act like you just don't care how much the gun recoils, that is except for your bruised cheek...LOL

Hopefully that'll solve that problem.

Let me know if that works, mine does the same thing.

It worked!
Much nicer not having to drop a round in each time!

Doesn't look like it's TOO bad.. (at 25 yards.)

The circled shots were mine, the rest were my friend trying to correct for it being off.. (I was aiming at the red spot.)

Fleet Farm has these on sale for 99.00 is that a good deal? Are you satisfied with your purchase? Is it a range gun or would you hunt with it?

$99 OTD is not too bad a deal, as you can pick the one you want. Mail order is now running about $70-80 +shipping, about a wash, though you don't get to pick your mail order Mosin. Course you pay MN sales taxes at Fleet Farm.

For my 3 Mosins, I paid $40 for the first, a "cracked stock" M-44 special, the cracks were inconsequential, and the thing shoots just fine, after a little TLC. Another M-44 I gave $80 for to a buddy, he had ordered 2 different "5 Mosin Specials", and was having a tough time explaining to his wife that no, he wasn't planning on equipping his own WWII infantry platoon. (He also has a crate or so of RC K98's, and more Turkish 8mm ammo than the Sultan himself...) The third, a 91/30, I just saw at Frontiersman, and decided I wanted. I think it was actually $130, maybe I paid too much, but hey, sometimes even I get impulsive.

Yup. That what I paid, and where I got it. I don't hunt (yet) so for me it's just a range gun. I'm sure it could be used for hunting though..
