Has anyone bought pistol ammo at Fleet Farm? If so, how are the prices?

I dont know much about fleet farm's pistol ammo prices but i usually get my pistol ammo from Wal-Mart because its very cheap and comparatively speaking wal-mart was much cheaper on .22 ammo but thats the only comparison i have, but walmart has WWB (Win White Box) for a very good price.

Fleet Farm is better than, say, Gander Mountain, but they're more expensive than Walmart. It's hard to beat Walmart, at least for retail.

(sorry, but)

After Wal-Mart caved in to political pressure and began pandering to anti-gun legislators, I would recommend spending a few extra bucks here and there and going with a local gun shop (like http://www.gunstop.com/) or any other option. These gun shops have to survive too... won't be long Wally World will stop selling ammunition (just like they stopped selling guns in many places). Support someone who actually supports us!

I myself spent a hundred bucks there on ammunition for the steel shoot, even after vowing not to since there was nothing else within 20 miles and it was a last minute deal. I hate myself for it and will figure out some way to flog myself later... but we can use gun rights advocates - not anti-gun panderers like Wal Mart.

I bought .45ACP at Fleet Farm a couple times. My impression is, it's roughly like Dick's: you can usually find it cheaper someplace else, but it's worth checking their ads for sales.

Taken from another thread on ammunition prices - this is good to know!:

TeamSpringFieldXD wrote:Dicks and Gander will match wal-marts prices also, wal-mart doesnt have a big selection but super cheap range ammo WWB isn't bad ammo for the price.

At least Dick's on 394 will only match EXACT type and EXACT quantity. Tried to get them to match Cabelas 100 count Remington ... nope, we don't sell 100 count boxes :-(

I have and do buy a ton of handgun ammo at FF.

I have not found UMC 250 round packs there receiently at the Oakdale/Maplewood FF. But a good source of Blazer Brass in 9, 40 and 45 and Blazer Al for 38.
