Coastal Seafoods - they have two locations in the twin cities. They are one of the largest fresh fish suppliers in the Midwest (I believe), so you can get the same quality, swimming in the ocean yesterday fish that the best restaurants get. They also refuse to treat their tuna, like everyone else does. That's one of the things that makes them uniquie. It isn't as pretty and pink as you may see elsewhere, it's because it's the "real deal". Most places you could buy their tuna, toss it in your trunk in July, drive around with it for a week and when you took it out it would look the same. Just ain't right I tells ya!

I highly recommend the Bluefin when it's in season and the organic, farm raised salmon for making sushi/sashimi.

This is strictly a buy it and make it yourself operation. The storefront seems more of a side business (busy as it may be) to their primary business of importing and selling for restaurants. The staff can be very helpful as well.

I wondered if that's where you got it. I've heard a lot of good about them. Our friends have bough stuff there. One of these days I'll have to check it out.

Thank you.

+1 to Coastal Seafoods. Second to none in the Midwest. I love them with all of my small, black-charred heart.
If you are reading this, there is a better than average chance that you are a d-bag.
