I was on the national grasslands south of Lemmon and worked our way to Lodgepole where we stayed last weekend. the first towns on friday we went to were crazy with activity. as the day, the heat and the weekend went on, the dogs stayed underground more and we really had to work for our kills. it's friggin dry out there. One of our shots started a small fire on some private pasture (we had permission to be there and we got it out right away) be prepared for that if you guys are going out that way

When it gets real bad ranchers won't even let you drive on the grass. We have been told that the cats on cars/trucks can start fires in very dry conditions. I can only say that happened on one maybe two trips.
