I believe the new waiting list is set up to prevent you from registering twice. Try registering again - if it allows you to do so, then you weren't on it (though you are now); if it doesn't, then you were / are...

Hmmm... Looks like I just put myself on the list for the 3rd time in 4 months! Everytime I go to the website it has a slightly different look to it. Is there still a way to login like I was able to a couple months ago?

The comment in the newsletter was confusing and not written very well. I believe they were talking about two different things, the waiting list, and the list of people that have electronically signed up for the waiting list. The exact quote was:

...the system is being updated and is off line to members. He sent out letters to 500 people on the waiting list. Currently, only 20 – 30 people are on the waiting list. The waiting list will be reopened for new members after July 4. Discussion followed on status of the system...

So you can see it says letters went out to 500 people on the waiting list. Then it says currently only 20-30 on the waiting list. This is from the minutes of the club meeting which is sort of shorthand. My guess is they are talking about different lists. As mentioned previously Tom will be able to clarify when he sees this. So I don't think the list is small to get in, when I talked to someone down there this spring they said there were 500.

They took a big gulp of new members this spring to bring the total number up to 1500, some of those notified declined membership, or never responded - so they kept sending out letters to people on the list until they had enough people committed. The waiting list was severely shortened by that point. Brother-in-law was on the list last year for, I think, 6 months when he got the call this spring. I wouldn't be surprised if list was only 20-30 long in July.

Just trying to help folks on here get in on a good thing out at OGC!
