Springfield Armory XD9 Sub-Compact

Postby PHATSPEED7x on Wed Aug 01, 2012 7:49 pm

Well I had a $100 credit to use up at my local dealer, and I saw this in the case...

Springfield Armory XD9 Sub-Compact. It was a used gun, but had very few rounds though it. Came with two magazines, a flush fit 13rd capacity for carry, and a full-size 16rd capacity. The sub-compact has a 3" barrel, and the shorten grip to make this thing very concealable. After my credit was used towards the purchase it cost me only $249.99+ tax. I'm extremely happy with the purchase. :D

This was the only "used" model they had. They had two brand new ones, but both models were selling for $499.99

Where at? Available to public sales? Did they have a bi-tone per chance?

Glen's Army Navy Store Grand Rapids MN. Think they did have a bi-tone for sale for $529.99 in 9mm. I know one was the black slide, and OD frame for $499. Almost bought that one. The one I got was the essentials package so it didn't come with any XD gear. Just a case, two magazines, lock, brush, and manual. I'm sure that's why they were selling it for the reduced price on top of the gun being used. I'm guessing the previous owner traded this gun towards the purchase of a XDS. They had a couple in stock, but are already sold out. They were selling the XDS for $559.99.

That's what I thought. And with my credit I had already with the store it was a easy decision....

Springfield Armory XD9 Sub-Compact

Postby adoptedson on Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:26 am

NICE! Sweet price. Been thinking about picking one of these up for EDC. I have 2 XDM's but have never shot an XD. Handled the subcompact XD and it felt really nice in hand.

Congrats on the new piece!

I was carrying it around the house last night in my iwb holster for my other XD pistols. Very easy carrying gun. And 13+1 with flush fit magazine. NICE!

Glen's? Seriously??? You beat me by 3 hours! I'm in Virginia right now getting ready to go to Thief River and was going to stop at Glen's for exactly that type of deal. Something "SC" and used...nice find!

Go through Blackduck and stop at Timberline Sports. Your jaw will drop at their pricing and selection of guns.
