Looking for a place to shoot by Hinckley.

Postby KinzJa on Tue Aug 21, 2012 11:04 am

A group of my friends are going to be up by Hinckley casino and were wondering where a good place to shoot pistol, rifle, and trap would be. It would be on a Sunday and the range would have to have public hours. Don't mind paying range fees, or driving a little bit to get there, just wondering where a good club or range would be.

Thanks!

There is a range east of the casino a few miles on the north side of the road, before you get to the river. But you need to by a membership for $15 (good for a year) at Bargin Buys which is in "downtown" Hinckley. You can Pistol/Rifle shoot there, but no shotguns.

If you want to shoot clays you need to go to Wings North in Pine City to do that. (24hr reservation required) http://www.wingsnorth.org/

It's a nice little place, I was there for an Appleseed once and thought about getting a year membership, but I wasn't sure whether I would use it once a year. Bit of a drive from Mankato.

Otherwise we return to the twin cities, is there a place to shoot all three around the cities?

Check out Metro Gun Club in Blaine off of 35W. They have a website (google it). Not sure if they have a rifle range.

They don't have a rifle range but they have great shotgun facilities.
private or small grou permit classes available
