IDPA Double Header Weekend!!!!

Postby bpacman on Thu Sep 06, 2012 8:14 pm

You know....I use to get tired of Hunting Season weeks before the season ended. Usually because it was too damn cold to go out, but I am not looking forward to the end of the IDPA Outdoor Match Season. As I predicted early in the season it has had a substantial effect on my fishing this year.

Anyway...enough chit chat. We have a IDPA Pistol Double Header this weekend so you have absolutely no excuse for not attending at least one of them.

9/8/2012 at Minnetonka Game and Fish Club....Starts at 0900, but show up early to help set up.

9/9/2012 at Beaverbrook...Starts at 0900, but show up at 7:30 to help set up....yeah I know I already said that.

But Hey, I am new to this stuff and being a Seasoned (Some would say well Fermented) Gentlemen, I can't help but notice all the "Rock Stars" who show up 15 minutes before a match. The rest of us are damn near muscle fatigued from setting up the multiple steel targets, barricades, twisting walls and that damn Texas Star that the Evil and Sadistic Match Directors program into the match....Well it just makes us want to kick the "Rock Stars" right in the balls when they show up and head right to the safety table so they can practice their draw.....OMG...I am sorry...was I ranting just then?? Please forgive me. 8-)

Anyway Gang, hope to see you there. TCAS club has this match and one more outdoor on 9/22/2012 which is our all day season finally.

I'll be at the Minnetonka shoot tomorrow. What time is "a little early"? Certainly not a rock star and willing to help out. :)

Glad to hear that. I have not shot at MGFC yet so I don't really know for sure. We start setting up at Beaverbrook around 0730. So if you arrive at MGFC anytime between 0730 and 0800, I am sure your efforts will be greatly appreciated.

For the match at Minnetonka Game and Fish Club, the match setup starts at 9:00, so everyone should arrive at that time.
The website for IDPA at MGFC is:
http://www.mgfc-action-shooting.org/idpa/index1.html

I'm the match director for IDPA at MGFC however, as IDPA Shooter mentioned, Jack Smith is running this match in my absence this weekend.

But he's always late. Maybe he should bring lunch?
