GlockWorx G19

Got this from Zev Tech last week. This was the exact pistol featured in the now infamous Recoil Magazine. Has all the GlockWorx goodies...fulcrum trigger (3.5lbs), skeletonized striker, tungsten guide rod/spring, Zev rear site, extended mag release(not installed), ti-pins. stippled lower and removal of finger grooves. The slide has angled front and rear serrations and is Black DLC coated. Shoots absolutely perfect!

It was kind of an Industry deal since I knew the guys at Recoil Magazine, so I'd rather not say. But definitely a lot less than if I bought all the parts, stipple, etc.

That is cool! How did you get the hook up at Recoil? They are pretty far from here, no?

I use to work for Petersen Publishing back in the 90's...who at the time published Guns & Ammo. I worked for Motor Trend Magazine, but pretty much knew everyone else as well. Source Interlink is the current company. Howard Lim who use to be the Publisher of Super Street Magazine, was a firearms enthusiasts and came up with the idea to launch a new firearms magazine but wanted a new direction. He wanted to create a hip magazine similar to what Wired is in the consumer electronics market, but involving the firearm/tactical industry. And this is how Recoil was born.

I like the stippiling. What do you think of it in comparison with a stock g19?

Seems like it would be an interesting pistol for range or gun games.

Also since you know some people associated with recoil, what do people over there think about the whole fiasco with Jerry the editor that stepped down. I don't want to derail the tread or if you prefer me to PM you to discuss that's cool.

i've never been a fan of a stock Glock trigger, so the biggest difference is definitely that, much more smooth and predictable, short reset, and very little pretravel. The recoil spring I believe is 15lbs, so the recoil feels a lot less than stock. The slide has a tighter fit and with the finger grooves gone, you can get a better grip.
As far as Recoil the magazine is concerned, someone had to jump on the grenade at that person HAD to be Jerry. Its a good magazine and for those who haven't seen it, should get a copy. As far as advertisers are concerned, they lost A LOT of business. The company has enough resources to keep the magazine going, and I think they've proven that there's interest. But they're going to have to make it clear that Recoil supports the 2nd Ammendment 100% unconditionally is they want readers and advertisers to return. Just my opinion----->BANG
