I am 99% sure bills only allows brass cased ammo, so TulAmmo would be out of the question for OP.

I've shot WPA there before, the guy behind the counter said I couldn't shoot the aluminum cased box I brought though. This was at bills north and it was last year.

Bill's has come a long way, but it is no place to find "anything" cheaper! LOL

Bill's does allow steel cased ammo. Aluminum cased ammo is not allowed.

What's the reason for this? Are they too lazy to sort through the casings they pick up for profit???

Steel's good to go. No aluminum. No tracer, armor piercing or exploding ammo.

Aluminum is not allowed. Steel cases are, as they can be magnetically separated from brass without touching the cases. It's more about osha than ambition.

If I understand it correctly... Spent casings = hazmat. A person can pick out steel casing with a magnet, the aluminum ones have to be picked out by hand.

Steel yes, Aluminum No, at least that was the case the last time I shot there, but that was 4-5 years ago

That's how it was explained to me. Hand sorting requires OSHA approved training, and PPE related to lead hazards.

My ammo buying hierarchy is this:

Practice ammo - Walmart and Fleet Farm in that order.

Carry ammo / hollowpoints - Streicher's is tough to beat.
