Stopped by after work, I was the doofus in uniform with goofy moustache.

Super friendly place, the shop dog is a people lover! Great selection, they even had some rifles for us NORMAL folks - that's us lefty's. Wide variety of some stuff that you don't really see frequently, prices seemed pretty spot on. Ammo prices reflected market, I picked up about 500 rounds in 4 calibers, they have a good range of ammo manufacturers.

All in all, I wish they weren't across the entire friggin twin cities, because gas will get spendy driving out there over and over again! But i WILL be back.

I was in again yesterday and spoke to Mike about optics for my AR. The great thing about Mike was he was man enough to admit it wasn't his area of expertise and got someone else over to help. I'm glad that he didn't try to BS me and I respect the fact that he got someone else to answer my questions.

If they needed someone to only work weekends I would be all over it (when I'm not working for ThunderJohn).

I am shocked (in a good way).

Had a chance to get over to AA on Sunday. Concur with the positive feedback, particularly the friendly feel and staff. I think I'd be happy to drive across the metro to deal with these folks, 'straight talk' was all I heard (no smoke). I'm thinking of proofing it with a purchase and a consignment soon. Bravo Zulu to AA, on its way to being a 'model' shop.

To all of you who have stopped by already, thank you. We've only had a few moments with no customers in the store. It was a lot of fun to talk about guns with people all day!

Her name is Sasha, she's 9, and she has the initials TDIEVA after her name, for Therapy Dogs Internatonal Exceptional Volunteer Acievement - 350 visits, which is the 2nd highest award they have. We've worked Our Lady of Peace Hospice for 3 years, and Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul for two. Needless to say, she's VERY well behaved...

I also stopped by with my wife on Friday. We went to dinner at Santorni's which is 5 minutes away. My wife normally does not go to a gun store with me, but I convinced her that we were close bye. She feel in love with the shop dog, so I can come back now! Dan and his wife were great, talked with them for a while. Great looking store and resonable prices, although they did not have what I want, I defintly will be back.

Just left there. I can say I'm amazed, nice lay-out, great crew( the couple I met) they had a few guns on hand that surprised me. Was nice to see an EAA sitting in the case, made me wish they were around when I was in the market for a handgun, that's one that when I was looking nobody had. Will definitely be back there to drop some cash when I have some in the fun fund again.

Was nice meeting Mike and Sammichman. It's nice to keep adding actual faces to screennames.

Thanks guys - It was great meeting you guys as well. We have really put a lot of work and heart into the store - it is great to see how much people appreciate it. I really love the idea that we have been open a week and people already feel like this is “their” gun store. That was the vision Dan and Kate sold me on and it is great to be part of it.

That's a beautiful dog, and you have a beautiful soul for volunteering at a place where you help ease the transition of people from this life to wherever they go. Thank you for all that you do.

To those unfamiliar, I can vouch for Our Lady of Peace as being one of the best places to go for hospice. My mother was there in 2006 for cancer which started in her lungs and went to her bones.She died in August 2006. At the time, it was called Our Lady of Good Counsel and was ran by nuns. Like everyone who goes there, my mother passed after a short time, and while she suffered a tremendous amount of pain even with the excellent care and drugs, there's only so much humans can do. It's my belief and knowledge that she got the best care humanly possible, and care there like nowhere else could deliver.

My sister painted a picture and hung it on the wall for my mother. She was staying in Room 207, and like all rooms, it was divided up into 3 parts, A, B, and C, so my mom was in 207C, which is by the window. After she passed, the family left the painting there on the wall.

In April 2012, my father was there and he died from non-Hodgkin lymphoma. What's even more amazing than his care which was equally as good, is he was in Room 207C - the exact same room and position by the window where my mother has been. Likewise, the painting by my sister was still on the wall in the same location. When one of the nurses there who knew my mother, found out my father was coming to stay with them for his time left, he looked up where my mothers room was at and since it was available located my father there. He said it felt like coming home.

Yes, the place IS that good and the staff cares that much. It's purely amazing.

This story is one of many I could share, but I'm crying as it is. I'm man enough to admit it and i don't care what anyone may thing, that places touches me to the soul. So thank you Sam for all that you do.
