Police say no shots were fired in Target building

Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau said police have sounded the all-clear regarding a call that shots had been fired Friday morning in a downtown office building housing Target corporate workers.

A sweep of the building by police, aided by K-9s, turned up no evidence that any shots had been fired, she said.

Based on where the sounds were coming from, workers might have mistaken noise in the ductwork for gunshots, Harteau said.

That comment right there sounded like Benghazi too.

I think I'm going to coin a new term: benghazied. Used much the same way Godwin is used. Let's see how many completely unrelated threads we can benghazi today!

My apologies then. I thought you were saying that Sgt. McCarthy was being dishonest in the same way that the administration has around Benghazi - which I would disagree with...

A friend who works in the building says it was a filing cabinet falling over... and someone in a conf room called in they thought they heard gunfire.
