Bill's north question

Postby ranger on Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:29 am

Planning a trip to Bill’s north (Circle Pines) one day next week and was just wondering if the range is heated more adequately now, than it used to be. The last time I there this time of year, wearing a jacket while shooting was mandatory….for my friend and me anyway. If I recall, we could even see our own breaths in the range area. Thanks

Shoot more. Warm up from your barrel. Problem solved.

I was there a month ago. I was in shorts and a short sleeve shirt. Fine for me.

Bill's north question

Postby plblark on Mon Nov 19, 2012 7:36 am

The difficulty is air quality and air exchange. When I go to a busy indoor range I dress in layers. In deep winter I bring shooting gloves. Still Warner than shooting outdoors in deep winter

Sorry guys, my original question was premature…..should have saved it until January when the outdoor temps are in the teens.

Anyway, I went to Bill’s north this morning around 10 am with a friend, and we both expended around 500 rounds of ammo and the range temperature was perfect. Almost every lane was occupied and we had a great time shooting and dodging flying brass.

BTW, Bill’s employees were very accommodating and friendly! All in all, a great morning ;)

I was there yesterday, Sat. the 24th, and had a very nice time. It was cold outside, but comfortable in the store and in the range. Bill's North is close to where I am in Blaine and handy entertainment when the weather is uncomfortable.

SueAnn and I were assisted in our shopping and getting onto the range by a friendly, knowlegable associate, Charlie who also contributed to the comfortable atmosphere there.

We shot quite a few rounds, the entire experience was a good one, and I look forward to going back soon.

Now picture Sam with a grill, cap at an odd angle, throwing that out in true thug style. (DON'T picture the boxers and hanging pants ;-))
