What ever you need... Now is the time

Postby mikereilly on Mon Dec 17, 2012 10:09 pm

Judgeing by the rush today at the shop - Now is the time folks to get in and get what you need, want. I'm not even talking about any maybe, might be bans - I'm talking simply supply and demand!

Yep, I'd say the next year+ might put 2008 and perhaps '94 to shame.

We stopped in and it appeared that there were several first time buyers filling out NICS checks.
The place was BUSY and out of PMags and G19 mags. I was able to score two mags for my Browning Hi-Powers and
one 33 rounder for a G34 but that was it.

We ran over to the Gunstop and it was the same thing. Parking lot full and a line at the counter.

Frankly, it's disgusting that you even made this thread.

duno if it's disgusting or jsut a statement of fact.... you see how many "WTB insert AR rifle/component" ads have hit armslist in the last week? i can't find any online shop that has lowers in stock. like it/agree with it or not, it seems to be the way the market is reacting. welcome to mild histeria....

Ok I have a question since we are basically talking about it anyways on this thread.

I am just getting into firearms this year, not because of panic, but because I am actually of age now to legally buy the guns I want. So, if I went in today to buy a gun, am I adding to the problem? Even though I am not panic buying, should I wait on making a purchase I want, or will that not really make any difference at all since I am just one more person?

Not adding to the problem, but if you have some patience to wait a few weeks, you don't have to worry about certain businesses jacking up the prices to profit on a tragedy.

FWIW - i was in both gun stop and arnzen yesterday and i was hard for me NOT to buy 6 guns - not because of panic but because they were so friggin REASONABLY priced! i was stunned at the price tags on a lot of what i saw. even for retail storefronts there were some screamin deals to be had.

gun stop had a PX4 storm with high end eotech and a handful of mags on the rack for $699

I was out last night trying to stock up on PMAGS and found some at Fleet Farm in Oakdale for $20, so I bought 4. At the checkout, after I paid the cashier asked me "Do you really need 4 of these?" She got an eye-roll from me. What she won't get from me is repeat business.
