Yes. Actually doing two orders. Ordered the first 25, and the second 25 will likely be Monday once the rest of the funds arrive.

Bad news folks. NFA cancelled our aluminum order and said they are not taking any more orders at this time because they are too far behind. Their office manager said once they get caught up enough that they can give a reasonable ETA they will resume taking orders. Really sorry for this folks, I did my best to try and get you guys a good deal. Unfortunately the mad rush for anything AR has completely overwhelmed them.

On the good side, they said they are still ok on poly. I have not heard anything on those, and they indicated in their last email that those, while delayed over the usual 3-4 weeks delivery, are still good.

Options for those who ordered aluminum:
-Switch to poly
-Wait for aluminum stock to be back in place, OR I can seek out new sources for aluminum (but think the results may be similar, if anyone has suggestions I am all ears)
-Cancel and receive refund

Please reply here or send me an email or PM and let me know how you'd like to proceed. I will follow this through to the end for anyone who wants to wait on aluminum, but certainly understand if you want a refund. Again, my sincere apologies for this not working out as originally planned. The events of the last week have been truly unprecedented, and the resulting rush for AR style items has been phenomenal.

You did your best and I don't think any of use will hold it against you.

Thanks for trying at the very least

I am waiting to hear back from NFA. I still plan to do some more poly orders, but they have changed their pricing on their website and raised the poly $30. Hoping and praying this is a mistake. While I am a fan of NFA lowers and think their poly lowers are excellent quality, their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. But I have to admit, if they are a small shop they have probably been completely overrun and are not staffed to handle a tremendous crush of demand, and are doing their best. With that said, a 30% spike in price is uncalled for. Will the market bear it? Perhaps. But it will lower my willingness to do business with them out of sheer principal.

Long story short....I still plan to do more poly buys as long as there is interest. Just need to get confirmation on what their costs are so I can communicate to you guys.

Email confirmation, but as I learned with the aluminum, that apparently means nothing. I sent two emails now asking for confirmation on the poly buy, and have yet to get a response.

Finally got a response. This thing is getting to be more and more of a clusterfu*k by the day.

Now the contact at NFA is telling me their supplier raised their pricing for raw material, and the jumped the price on these things $30. I'm so pissed I don't even know what to say. Hopefully nobody thinks I am doing this to gouge, that is not the case at all, but I know if I were on the buying end that would be my first thought. Here is his email reply, after I bitched and said this sucks because I had coordinated this group buy based on the pricing they had on their website, and now I have to tell you guys the price went up 30%. His "it is" comment is in response to me telling him it is really shi**y to do to me and my customers:

"It is, but MAP price went up $60 so you make an extra $30 each. We had two of our parts suppliers stick it to us this week so we had to adjust to cover the increase."

So it is what it is guys. I try to be an ethical businessman as much as I can. If I had the $ to eat this cost, I would, while letting everyone I know in on the NFA business practices. But I simply don't have it. If I did have the money, I would have ordered them myself without the pre-payment and sold to you guys at the $100 cost.

So new cost for the poly lowers is $132 ($30 increase plus the tax on the extra $30). This includes tax, shipping, and transfer. So it's a flat $132 for each poly lower out the door. Please reply, PM, or email if you still want in, or if you want a refund. They have already taken the money, but assured me I can cancel and get the $ back, just might take me a few days to get a refund while I wait for everyone to reply here, and the holidays will delay things too.

Again, my sincere apologies. Try to do something to help guys here out, and get totally hosed on it (not by anyone here of course). Wish I had better news. Sorry guys.

Matt,

You are awesome, and I'm glad we've been in touch. Unfortunately I am going to have to cancel the rest of my order. I call BS on the supplier raw material price going up. Nothing has happened to cause the price of plastics to jump. This is an example of a company also trying to cash in on the shortage. Nothing wrong with that, capitalism and all that. But I'm going to call a spade a spade and will not support this company.

Like I said before, you are awesome, and I support you, but will not support this company. However, you are my go-to guy for firearms now and hope to do business with you in the near future. Thank you for putting this together. It didn't all pan out the way we had hoped and planned, but that's life.

You guys are the best. The kind words mean a lot. I feel bad about how this went down, because I try to be a man of my word. I appreciate your understanding.
