I asked an army buddy of mine if he would do it his response was **** no I'd have a better chance in combat.

 It'd be a bloodbath to try and sweep this country for guns. Everyone who's for it lacks them.

This is a fantastic idea, and I'm glad someone on the forum is finally taking our guns seriously. The OP should get started organizing this right away, and get a website and a Facebook group started.

Let's see: on the one hand, our military has spent the last 10 years honing it's ability to take on small insurgent groups with precision guided weapons and special forces troops.

On the other hand: what was the plan, again?

There are more guns in the US than people in A-Stan, in addition they can't shoot and are pedophiles. There is a big difference between fighting that and fighting your neighbor.

On the other hand most of their infrastructure and supporting equipment is not located on the same field of battle.

I'll mangle the quote.....

I think this is probably one of the craziest OP's I have ever seen on this site--not quite ARFCOM crazy, but close.

Are you kidding me? Really, I get $100 for a ten dollar mag, but now we are fighting who?

Please, pull yourself together. Let it settle down a bit. Enjoy Christmas and let everyone get a bit drunk on New Years, hell the world will probably end before you back order on .223 show up anyway.

With $2K run of the mill AR's flying off the shelves, I think we might be a lot closer than some would hope. I don't wish civil war upon us, and I don't think we need to overthrow the govt at this point, but it's very clear that our system has been whored out to the highest bidder for far too long and doesn't serve the will of it's people any more. We need to fix that somehow or we'll be the next great nation that crumbled.

Think about this: what would happen if an insurgent terrorist group (not US Citizens officially rebelling) made a targeted attack on certain key members of government and not claimed any responsibility? Would it ignite the powder keg? Would the fed's response cause a violent backlash? People aren't marching on capitol hill with guns, but you can't deny there's a fierce grab for artillery right now. What would happen if bama whipped out another executive order, or they snuck a ban in with the budget bill?

There's a whole bunch of unhappy people in this nation. At some point you will break their passivity continually kicking them in the shins.

Tell me, who's going to lead this so-called militia, or we all going to just wander around protecting our rights?
