and has had arguable success against a bunch of bearded cave dwellers with vintage AK's. I know our troops have killed MANY bad guys and are doing one hell of a job, but I don't buy the argument that our military could squash millions of Americans with AR's with little effort....

I know it would never come to that, but millions of armed citizens ARE indeed a wonderful check against government over reach IMHO

pretty sure there are a BUNCH of like minded individuals serving in the military/national guard/reserve that would see gun confiscation an illegal order.

You are likely to see that mentality from cops or LEO's before the military.
