Marv at Frontiersman

Postby bstrawse on Sun Dec 23, 2012 8:53 am

Frontiersman posted on FB this morning that Marv has had a heart attack. Looks like he is doing ok. Return to work is uncertain...

I'm mobile and can't cut-paste their update...

Marv is one of the good guys. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers...

Here is the post and Prayers sent.

With heavy hearts we must announce the following:
Marv Platt, longtime Manager of Frontiersman Sports has suffered a heart attack. He is doing ok right now but his return to work is uncertain. Marv has dedicated well over 20 years of his life to working at Frontiersman and has worked with firearms most of his life. He is a true veteran in the firearms industry and his experience is second to none. He loves his work so much that he had put his work before his health. We are hoping for Marv's eventual return to work, if even in a very part-time capacity, but he must consider his health and family first. Marv is a tough guy and we are all confident he will pull through, and we will support him in whatever he decides to do going forward. Please keep Marv and his family in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

Marv at Frontiersman

This stinks. Marv is awesome. Here's to hoping for a fast recovery. Frontiersman wouldn't be the same without him.

I've known Marv for a long time and have nothing but good things to say about him. If he is unable to return to Frontiersman, he will be sorely missed. In my eyes, he is the face of Frontiersman.

I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

This is a stressful time for anyone in this industry, and I know Marv works about as hard as anyone. I hope he gets back on his feet soon
