Postby Kosh on Mon Dec 31, 2012 10:42 am

Anyone else having this experience in Carver county? I am on day 28 since filing with nothing but a lighter wallet.

You're being delayed because you applied for a CCW and in MN, it's a PTC. The carver sheriff hates CCW and will only approve PTC.

Just teasing before all the purists jump in  .

Mine took a couple weeks a few years ago. Carver County very carry friendly, so probably not a conspiracy to deny you your rights, etc. Figure the holidays and vacation schedules might have slowed it down a bit. Give them a call and ask. They'll probably be more helpful and factual than anyone here.

30 days is very common in most counties.

Scott County took 11 business days, 18 days total. Some are faster than others I guess.

Had mine in the mail in 2 weeks, fall 2010 (Carver County).

WOW. couple years ago mine took 2 days and arrived in my mailbox on the 3rd day. Brought paper in on Monday morning and got permit on Wednesday. Must be having a LOT more to process nowadays.

I got mine a couple weeks ago here in Hennepin on day 29. I think there are just so many applications these days that they're running slower than they used to.
