Now I want to run down to the Man Mall for Red Vines and some work gloves - plus an oil filter, gallon of 5w-30, giant plastic tub, targets, and cracked corn.

Dang I love that place! Even more so now to hear their management throw the weight of 6000 employees behind their message.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

Not to mention they encourage carrying in the store.

This actually supports an argument I had with a co-worker. He asked me what weapon I would want if some shooter came into our place of business right now and started killing people with an AR. I replied... "My BPS 12 gauge shotgun. No malfunctions, high power, and I know I won't miss." He was quite surprised by my answer but its the truth. My co worker was tryin to bait me into sayin another AR. He seems to think they are the most deadly gun on the planet.

I love Fleet Farm and I so wanted to love this peice. I understand what he is saying and in general I am there but was anyone else disturbed by the following points?

1) We should raise the federal excise taxes on firearms. (Huh? since when is higher taxes the answer?)
2) The legislation does not address the guns on the street. (Seems like one could interperet that another way unfortunatly)
3) What message is the uninformed viewer supposed to come away with, that the shotgun is more deadly or the AR-15 because he kinda made both points. Do not get me wrong, I get what he is saying but I think uninformed folks could take away the wrong message.
4) Why are we continuing to attack games and movies. Really? That is the issue? Did we not learn after the NRA statment to drop that?

The more input from private entities the better, being that the government screws up just about everything they get their hands on.

I didn't realize it was THAT kind of party!

On another note, sounds like the NRA had a bad day with Biden, not like that couldn't have been predicted!

The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.

He wanted that extra tax money to go to protecting schools though. I could get behind that.... provided I knew it was actually going there. Which we all know is kinda a joke. But either way, his propositions are a lot more reasonable than Biden's and Obama's.

This is so true. I don't think I have ever been in a fleet farm for less than an hour! They have done a nice job expanding their firearm selection. I used to live by the Oakdale Location.

This guy handles himself well. A striking contrast to blowhards like James Yeager.

My only problem with the shotgun vs AR comparison here is that the government will come after my shotgun. It could bring to light another "evil" type of gun they're going to want to grab. Otherwise I liked it.
