I've read quite a few of our oppositions comments lately, and tried to keep an open mind... I was looking to understand where they were coming from, and why they felt the way they did.
The problem seems to be that they don't see us as fathers, teachers, productive, hard working individuals, rather as James Yeager and Ted Nugent types who seem to go out of their way to act crazy. I don't think Yeager can complete 2 sentences without using words that are blocked from most forums. It doesn't help that those types are also hoarding their forums and Facebook pages, doing more harm than good in most cases. We don't need to bully (I hate that term, but whatever), we need to educate. They are afraid of guns for some reason, and have the perception that police and military personnel are the only ones who 'need' them, and that for some reason they are the only ones qualified to use them.
Personally, I wish folks like Mr. Colion Noir were more prominently displayed by the media.
