A guy at the FF counter was saying once the AR's were all sold, people who wanted to go that route just picked up a .22 and a pile of ammo instead. I guess the idea that everybody should own a .22 is starting to catch on.

You can't be looking hard. Gander and fleet farm had tons this weekend.

The Brooklyn Park FF was sold out of everything but CCI Stinger and Wildcat 50 packs on Friday.

In my thread "2013 is starting with a bang", http://www.mnguntalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=37610I mentioned Cabellas where I bought 10 boxes of the Federal Premium (red box) with 525 rounds each for $219.00 ($255.00 with taxes and S&H). I couldn't find any large quantities of .22 (or .45ACP, or .223, 5.56, 7.62, etc) in the stores and even online it's hard to find.

Even the guys at Moss Pawn down in GA recently made a video about the shortage of guns and ammo. Some guns they won't get again until June or July, ammo is hard to find, and it's often times only available on back-order. That's how it is for my high-cap XDm mags and some of the ammo I've ordered.

Now let's see what Biden and his cronies pull out of their butts today. Things could get worse.....or not......or stay the same, but for now, fear is selling pretty dang well.

Bill's in Robbinsdale was well stocked with CCI Mini-Mag hps yesterday. I didn't ask the price, but I'm sure it's not the cheapest place in town. ;)

I haven't looked locally. Just tried 6 online sites in a row & everyone was out of 22 ammo. Never thought I'd ever see that

Where are you located?
I just picked up 10 Winchester 555 boxes at $21.88 each in FF Blaine. Add in a Pmag and a few more shells to $350 and get the $50 gift card.

Brooklyn Park FF was out of most .22 this morning. There was only a handful of Winchester Super X 40gr. 100rnd boxes on the shelf for $6.99. Sounds like I should've drove to Blaine for the Winchester bulk.

Ditto. I was there on Sunday and ALL bulk .22 ammo was gone. All I saw were the single boxes of 50 count. They had 9mm, .40, and .45 in boxes of 50 but the only bulk ammo I saw was the Blazer bulk pack of .40 and only 3 or 4 boxes of that left.

I was at Dick's in Coon Rapids today and bought a couple bricks of CCI SV's. They still had 10 left in stock if anyone is interested.

Good video on the power of the .22 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUM1r_444CY - I know it's not ideal round, but I think it's under-rated. I'm going to get a 10/22 after my next purchase which is an XDS.
