WTF

Sucks for you if you have a modern semi-auto pistol like a Glock, SIG, M&P, XD. I don't know of anyone that makes a 7 round mag for these.

Update: It passed

Cliff Notes version -

Ban on all magazines over 7 rounds, no more new "assault weapons", all present assault weapons have to be registered and can only be at your home or a "registered range" (no such thing), all ammo has to be bought in person with a background check, all pistol permits have to be renewed.

ETA: Anyone with a magazine in NY has 1 year to sell it out of state or face charges.

Not much about it passing in the news yet, but this article references the background check for the law, I can't find the text if the law yet.

As I read it, they only have 10rd mags, now?! ... may as well throw 'em out?!
