Done! (Previously did NRA's as well) Quick tip - If you participate in Facebook you can get the word out to your friends very easily. Go to Ruger's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/Ruger Scroll down, do you see the 'Protect Your Rights' picture? Right under that is the small typed word "share." Click it and now all your Facebook friends can see it as well and it gives them one click access to Ruger's advocacy site where they can also send emails to their legislators. If every person who bought a AR or Pmag in the past month would do this, we could send one heck of a powerful message. Don't be on the sidelines! Thanks!!

Pass this along to anyone you know that may not be real politically active or maybe doesn't have time to do this outside of a slick program like this. It can make their voices heard for very little investment of time and no stamp and stationary costs.

I share your concerns. I keep a junk mail account I use for such things, and almost never look at what comes in on it. My ISP allows 8 accounts, so using one for junk is no problem. Something to consider.

That is a good idea, but I think the concern is that you get on some sort of Federal Special Investigations Task Force list investigating potential domestic terrorists and potential threats to the supremecy of the fearless leader - resistance to be erradicated on the first strike for control of this country and replace the Constitutional Representative Republic with some for of dictatorship.

My answer to that is you are already on a list - as stealthy as you think you are - you are already on a list, so why not make your voice heard and try to prevent what you fear and defend what is important to you. The time to stand up for what you believe has come - laying in the shadows won't help you much when the laws all get passed and then you are faced with whether to keep your weapons, ammo and mags and be an outlaw or turn them all in to comply with the laws that were passed while you were afraid to stand up and be counted. Thats why joining large groups like the NRA, GOCRA, SAF, etc. make sense - you join a large and active group who prefer to be counted - they will be the buffer to injustice and tyranny.

Your choice. But the fact you logged on and are a part of this forum put you on a list somewhere.

Good thing you don't have a driver's license, or a Permit to Carry--they ask for all kinds of personal information!

Or own a home....or pay taxes....or register to vote. Yep, you are listed! All it takes now is some govenment agency to compile all the data on all the lists and BAM, the jack boot thugs will be crashing through your door very soon.

Have representatives stopped responding? The last notifications I sent were through the Ruger web site, and I haven't received a response from any of my representatives in response. Not even the standard form response. I *really* hope their not just harvesting peoples contact info for their mailing list.

Has anyone here received a response from their representative as a result of using the Ruger website?

You are right, I haven't seen anything from them either and I have been submitting that form once a day since I found it

All I know is that if I received a cut-and-paste message 100's or 1000's of times per day, consisting of literally the same text down to the punctuation, I'd probably ignore most if not all of them... or shuffle them all into a folder labeled "people who can't write a message themselves"

Not saying it's a bad thing that people are using this service, but IMO a concise and well worded, personally written, letter or email message will go further.
