Hi from up north

Postby Mellonhead on Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:57 pm

Hello everyone, heard great things about this forum so thought I would finally join. Into all firearms and want to kick up my reloading knowledge. My goal is to build a bad ass benchrest rifle in the next year-looking at Mauser action. I work in the engineering dept. at a contract manufacturing facility just north of Brainerd. We work closely with many major firearm companies developing new products and improving existing lines. The funnest and most challenging project I have worked on is bringing the Desert Eagle back to America, few people realize it is made almost entirely in Minnesota. Looking forward to sharing information.

There seem to be a lot of us around this area lately - guess we'll need to schedule a Brainerd lunch one of these days - or wait until the new Fleet Farm range is open and do a Saturday breakfast followed by a range trip!!!

Thanks everyone for their welcomes. On a side note, me and the missus had to go to the big city for provisions (Brainerd). Swung through the new Fleet Farm range parking lot and tried to peek in, didn't see much but kind of looks like they are putting finishing touches on. It will be nice having a reloading place that close, hope they don't do any gouging. Mills family seems pretty straight on the firearms side of business.
