Large pistol primers

Postby Mellonhead on Fri Jan 18, 2013 10:37 pm

Did anyone happen to stop by Cabellas in Rogers and see if there was any of these? Coming down from up north and planning on making a side trip to pick up some supplies. Last 2 times I stopped by they were out of W231 and made a 30 mile mistake. Also looking at buying some .451 bullets, hope those are not sold out too.

John from the GunStop posted today on FB that he has LPP. That was this afternoon so it is anybodys guess if he still has some.

Scheels in St Cloud had at least four cases worth on Thursday.

I just picked up 2,000 Winchester large pistol primers at the St. Cloud gun show today for $25 per thousand. I did go to Scheels in St. Cloud and see that they did have 1,000 Remington primers for $39.99 per and they did have a substantial amount.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. It sucks to make all these side trips when I come to the cities and they are out of what I need. Picked up primers at Scheel's and still had to stop at cabella's for bullets. Shelves are pretty sparse, can't wait for fleet farm range to open.

I picked up 1000 on Tuesday and went Saturday and they were out of everything and majority of powders and reloading supplies. Don't make a trip without calling in unless its on your way to somewhere.
Generally the large pistol have been the only thing stocked. Might have to get another .45 :)

I bought several boxes of Mag Large Pistol primers at Gander MT in Lakeville. They had a pretty good supply Tuesday and said no one was rushing to buy them out, but I would still call first. Since reduced loads information says it is OK to use them for std loads, I'm going for it. Oh ya one catch, they are $39.99. Can't anyone just say $40 bucks even, without choking on it?
