lazza@davidsonknives.com for the grips...give him a try. I shouldn't give you that information...its like giving permission to defile a 1911 haha. But I wish you luck man, you sure will have a one of a kind gun there.

Surface grinder would make a nice removal of the roll mark. Problem with deformed metal is that it might still be visible once you take off the surface. The density and grain structure under the mark is different than the rest of the part.

To me it seems like an unholy union. love my American pistols and love my European guns, but it doesn't feel natural to mix the two. More power to you if that's your deal. Rock on!!

I guess I'm kinda confused... other than the serrations on the slide and the GLOCK logo it looks just like a 1911. Not tryin to hate or anything. The concept is hilarious. I wonder what yeager would think :?

That's the point. Friends of mine tell me I need to diversify in the pistol lineup and say I need a 1911. This will shut em up ;)

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm thinking of a good solution and looking around for options. There are a few threads on other forums of people removing roll marks on slides. Most are the Taurus 1911 (I don't blame em for wanting to remove the name).

I really like the nice simple look...but the logos aren't for me.

When I get a 1911, that thing is going to be shiny nickel and I'll have grips to match each outfit. I may even have two in shoulder holsters. Snakeskin shoulder holsters. With platinum buckles.
