NRA not so wrong.

People were going nuts when the NRA said that armed officers should be in schools. Turns out the Newton Board of Education thinks that it is a good idea aswell.

It's been proven to work in Israel. And I'm sure in other places. Yeah you hear about the shootings at schools that have them but the guard wasn't on scene(anywhere near the school) for some reason or another.

Using armed guards to defend against something that has a statistical probability about equal to being killed by a lighting strike is not an efficient use of resources. It is a knee jerk reaction to a highly emotional, statistically insignificant risk. Allowing teachers to carry if they so choose, and allowing permit holders to carry in schools would have the same effect with a total cost of $0.

Banning the guns commonly used in this type of crime (but virtually never used in other, far more frequent crimes) will also have no effect and turns law abiding citizens into criminals.
