Does writing multiple times really help?

Postby Evad on Sun Feb 03, 2013 9:30 am

I know a lot of you are. I am thinking of sending another round. It got me thinking, are they looking at X number of communications or X number of unique names per issue?

I'm basically wondering if a flood from one hurts more than helps.

I have sent emails from my school address, work address, hotmail account, and using the reps email forms. More the merrier. All different messages.

Does writing multiple times really help?

Ive wondered this myself. The fact that my federal reps require an address seems to me that they are keeping a vote count of their constituents and that has the most influence.

Anything above that may show the intensity of your passions. I don't know if they are measuring that intensity in any way or not.

Intensity in my mind means "what are you gonna do about it?" not voting for someone has an impact. Telling your rep that you will be using the time and money you would have otherwise spent shooting, to work for their opponent is another thing entirely.

Found this on reddit. Take it for what it's worth. I don't think any of us can really know the answer and it probably varies by each politician. http://www.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/17njfx/as_one_of_the_guy_answering_your_calls_to/

This is why I kept my messages short.

I am contacting you today to inform you that I OPPOSE any proposed gun control legislation. By now you have most likely received scores of e-mails and calls from second amendment proponents such as myself. Please know this: I am a gun owner, I have a permit to carry, I am a law abiding citizen, and I vote.

By definition criminals do no follow the law; these proposed pieces of legislation intend on turning law abiding citizens like myself into criminals.

I ask that you represent me in this matter. Please DO NOT support any further gun control legislation.

I think they're ignoring us all equally.
