We need to Raise H, E, double hockey Sticks at the Capitol

I really appreciate those 800+ of you who took the time to pack into the hearings today. Please, if you can continue to do so, keep up the pressure. I just can't get there this week. If you are in the metro and can get away from work, go.

BUT! What we will really need is to put loud pressure outside the house and senate chambers when these bills come up for debate and vote. I'm talking several thousand of us inside the Capitol, raising hell with drums, whistles, noisemakers, and chants loud enough so they can hear us in the chambers.

This tactic is ripping a page out of the "community organizers" of the DFL who have used it to protest other bills in other years, but it is effective and it needs to be done for our 2nd Amendment rights. Think about what the democratic party organizers did in the Wisconsin Capitol last year....as an example.

I will be there if I have to quit my job to get the time.

I know it is very early in the session, but, is there any info on if/when the vote will be taken on the floor?

Expect a bill or bills to come out of the committee in 2-3 weeks. We'll have at least some advance warning.

No no no. When it comes time for the senate to vote, they need to hear the voices of gun owners inside the Capitol. That's when the pressure needs to be brought to bear on the senators. The floor needs to rumble in the chambers.

I agree, our image does not need to be associated with the loud angry missing teeth,hillbilly crowd that the media cannot wait to plaster all over the news. The drum banging, screaming and yelling tactics get sympathy for MADD and other victim groups. I doubt this tactic will help our cause. Lets keep our rage/ emotion to ourselves for now. At least until we all have the balls to show up at the Capitol together.

I think our well behaved crowd shows just how decent gun owners as a whole can be. Thanks to everyone who came out, today was the only day I could make it up from Rochester.

We did well yesterday - and believe me, the important people got the message (regardless of how the media plays it). Just look at the yellow buttons in the crowd shots. We outnumbered them 10:1 if not more.

We'll be here again today...and tomorrow.

Keep up the pressure on your state reps -- they were watching yesterday too. Even if you have a dyed in the wool anti-gun Rep...call them...let them know this is BAD politics to be involved with as it makes otherwise law-abiding citizens into criminals with little to no recourse.

See the GOCRA table immediately outside of hearing room 10 where the hearings are being held. Buttons - $1, shirts $5. We have tons.

I'll be there around 730 - some GOCRA folks will be there even earlier.
