Instead of moving to Woodbury I'd move to Hudson, WI.

If I can't sell my house the affected guns will go out of state. There is no way they would ever get registered, and NO WAY would anything I own EVER get turned into the state.

Stupid effen DFL...people tell me "you can't just vote Republican because of guns" ******** I can't...at least they don't draft bills that want to confiscate my stuff.

Good idea. I, too, would like to find a legal way to keep any guns I may have or may wish to buy if the bill is signed by the governor. WI also allows mere mortals to buy silencers, correct?

You do understand how these state elections work, right? State reps/senators are voted locally, Governor, like the POTUS are votes on statewide. The metro area usually votes Demonrat.

Right. So republicans were able to take seats in traditionally democratic areas across the board, yet they still couldn't get the governors office?

I don't know what will happen, but I'm not buying any more mags. I am kind of looking for a 1911.

I'm thankful I have family in ND and SD. Out of state storage will be an option.

Really hoping it doesn't come to that.

I too have begun looking at Hudson with more interest than I have in the past. We are looking to move in about a year. Hopefully this is resolved before then.

In my perfect world, New York's magazine restrictions will have made it to the supreme court and been smacked down by June, 2014.

We have to make sure the ban doesn't pass - write, call, and meet your Senator and Representative in person. I went to every hearing at the Capitol last week - stood in line for three hours to make sure I had a seat. I am meeting one-on-one with Representative Sara Anderson and Senator Terri Bonoff this week. I call and write every week. We sent a huge message this past week by packing the hearing room and two overflow rooms at every hearing. Keep it up, and we can stop this.

A friend of mine is a lobbyist, he's at the capital daily. He tells me 241 will probably not even be voted on.

They stated that at the hearings. It's being rolled into a omnibus firearms bill.

It's my understanding that no individual bill thus heard will be voted on. This is essentially - let's throw some stuff at the wall and see what sticks, to be made into one piece of legislation.

However it exists, this bill, and most of this crap needs to be stopped.

I got a reply from Terri Bonoff thanking me for sharing my views with her and that she would keep them in mind I was surprised to actually get an email and not an auto response like I've been used to getting lately. In the signature it said it was even send from an iPad
