Guns and Gear Store getting 30rd mags

Postby minnhawk on Sun Feb 10, 2013 10:53 am

Was in the store yesterday in Waite Park (St. Cloud), asked when they were going to get in some magpul 30rd magazines. The guy hesitated, then started looking on the computer/cash register. Said they are getting a large shipment tomorrow (Monday) but didn't know when in the day. Said they were limiting to 5 magazines per person; I think he said $20 each. Good luck.......I can't get there tomorrow. Support small gun stores.......

Confimed.
As of 6:30 pm Monday 2.11.13 they had about 60 black PMAGs without window left in stock.
Don't know how many they started with.
Price was $29.99.
No AR-15s on display though.

they didn't have much in the line of 1911 mags though, ended up going to scheels for some Kimber Pro-Tac's

I stopped in there today also....I tried to crack a joke and the bearded guy behind the counter turned into a real a**hole. That is my third time there and also my last.

I'm finished buying local @ panic prices. Especially when you can still order them online for $12.99!

Yeah been in there a few times and I never left satisfied or happy with the service, conversation, or selection. Even calling them about a FFL transfer was rude and painful.

Sad really, I want to do business with the small shops.

I've never had a problem there maybe a personality thing or stress over the current market situation.

if you go in, Talk to the young man named Bobby. he has excellent customer service. his dad runs the shop. He is a good dude and helpful, but he is not a salesman

That's what I was just wondering. Streicher's does still have them available for backorder at pre-hysteria pricing of $15-20 per depending on the mag, but they are telling everyone to expect at least a 6 month wait.

DSG is still selling M2 30rd mags for 12.25. They are by far the most backordered though. M2 windowed seem to be shipping the fastest followed by M3 windowed.

Agree 100%. Just too bad they can't do better.

Is he a little shorter with a mild scruffy beard? If it is him, he is the only one in there that seemed to want me to do business or even talk to me.

In case anyone is interested, I was in two Scheels stores in the last two days.

Scheels in Sioux Falls has at least 100 - 30 round mags available and 20 - 100 round barrel mags ($299). They also had a minimum of 150 - 33 round Glock 9mm magazines.

Scheels in Mankato had the 30 round mags and the 100 round mags as well, but not as many of them.
