I bought a Alaskan 44 just because, I put the short grips from a SP101 on because it fits better in my pocket Cant wait to get out and shoot it.
I had a Bulldog 44 SP that I gave to my brother because I didnt enjoy shooting it.

I just got an alaskan as well. You will be amazed at how shootable it is. I have been looking for smaller grips for mine as well. The double action isn't too bad either.

That was fun and I love it! I shot about 25 35 rounds and MnGunGuy shot about 10.

there's a rental gun of the Nightguard 44mag at Bill's Robbinsdale... i LOVE that gun. had a gent pick up the 8 shot 357 version a few days ago, that was pretty damn sweet too.

Can you tell approximately what you paid for it?

It was brand new in the case for $960 at Arnzen. I paid less after my trade in negotiations but not much...I just had to have it.

I actually like the grip style on it better, but for a snubnose I can't bring myself to pay that much yet.

At least it's not a semi-auto that'll give you slidebite each shot.

My G19 is my EDC. but once I get a holster for the NG it may take its place, at least on occasion. I need to be more accurate with it before that happens, and resolve in my brain that 6 shots will be enough.
