I would like to know this too. It strikes me that the retailer FFLs would benefit greatly by the extra revenue generated by private sale background checks, not to mention the added new gun sales created by the chilling effect this may have on those private sales. I am curious which FFLs put their own self interests ahead of those of their traditional customer base. I would also like to know more generally about any FFLs, if any, that testified in any other ways in support of any new gun laws too. I would rather not patronize those shops going forward.

Better yet, if we knew exactly which FFLs they were we could vote with our wallets. If you catch my drift.

There was at least one. I don't recall the name of the guy. If I recall he stated he was from Lakeville.
The video can be found here:

I'm an FFL. Are you talking background checks between two private sellers? If so, I wouldn't want this just on principle, but I know a lot of FFLs don't like transfers at all, and consider them a waste of time. This situation could also be a big hassle because the seller would have to give the gun to the dealer, and the dealer would log it into his books, then do a 4473 on the buyer. If. The buyer didn't pass the BG check for some reason, now another 4473 would have to be done to log the gun back to the original owner.
The big problem comes if for some reason the original owner doesn't pass the background check.... We can't give it back then.

The individual xdED is probably referring to is the President of Crucible Arms in Lakeville.
I had never heard of Crucible Arms until I used the Senate link provided by xdED.
Kevin Vick (Crucible Arm's President) testified against the background check proposal, and he did so very effectively.
After watching the Senate video, I decided to find the website for Crucible Arms.
On the Crucible website page titled "Our Difference", there is a Youtube video of that testimonial presentation.
Like I said, I had never heard of this company or of Mr. Vick but, based on what I saw today, I'm glad that he stood up for our rights and I'm glad
that I'm geographically rather close to his company. I'll probably be sending some business his way.
In any event -- Thanks Kevin!!

how many FFL's testified pro background check?

Perhaps I need to clarify. I did hear an FFL testify in favor of UBC. There was also an FFL from Lakeville testifying. I thought they were one and the same. If the guy you speak of is against the bill than perhaps I have some people mixed up. I certainly do not wish to defame a good guy.

I saw Mr. Vick's testimony and also thought he did an outstanding job. He was given an opportunity to soften his stance when one of the Senators on the committee asked him to clarify his opinion, and he didn't waiver.

Did that one senator yell at someone for whispering to Andrew Rothman while Marry Struford was speaking?

Starts 2:26, 2:29, Senator Cohen MN gets all indignatious.

Yup, that's the same guy -- Senator Cohen.
Gotta admit that Senator Latz (DFL) did a good job of quieting him in this case.
I would rather not give Latz any credit, but people deserve credit when credit is due.
Cohen on the other hand -- well, I'd better not say.

So was there anyone from the gun community that spoke for more gun control?

Kevin Vick's (Crucible Arms) testimony is available here. It's worth watching; he did an outstanding job.

I couldn't find the FFL who spoke for the bill(perhaps I'm confusing some of the testimony I heard, as I was mostly listening to it)
There is, at 19:00 (first testifier) a gun owner speaking in favor of the bill re background checks.
