I just received word from Nosler that the bullet order I made in September has shipped and I should have them next week! :booyah:

Is the panic over?

Not if you have to ask the question.

And if you are asking, you haven't been shopping.

I managed to get 3 additional mags for my AK-74 from AIM Surplus. Two circle-10's and one circle-21. At least I can get magazines again.

Panic over? hah...

22LR still ripped off shelf's just about anywhere, same with any .223/5.56.

In my opinion the panic will be over once these become available to a casual shopping trip.

From the front page of http://www.bvpistol.com/

(We are experiencing a shortage of ammunition, at this time we have some .45acp and .22lr)

...and I was saying how hard both are to find..... not even BPR can get it un bulk it seems.

We're not out of the shortage woods yet. :(

From what I've seen:

- Items on back-order
- Online arms stores out of stock and can't keep it in when they do get it.
- Same as the above for brick and mortar stores.
- Burnsville Pistol Range out of ammo. (Site says none is for sale).
- Finding certain guns is damn near impossible right now, same with some parts, and IF you do find them and get get them, the price is very high.
- I'd be willing to bet that I could sell all of my ammo in a matter of hours, if not an hour because the deman is so high right now it's not even funny.

No, it's far from over.

The prices of rifles and parts on Gunbroker are coming down a bit, but try and find a decent price on a BCG, or a bunch of Federal 62gr Penetrator and you are SOL.

Based on the turnouts at the last two gun shows, ammo is still increasing in price IF you can find it, and popular guns are still hard to find I would say we are at the worst of the panic right now. I can't see it getting any worse so hopefully we've bottomed out and things will start to loosen.

Despite all that I still am finding ways to burn money on guns and reloading supplies. :?

Why could it not get worse? Thus far this panic's origins are the result of speculation regarding possible legislation.
What happens if/ when laws are actually passed?
You want to see panic: wait until the sale and manufacture of xxxx is banned as of 01 Jan 2014.

My personal observations are that nothing has improved, and arguably worse as people, ever more desperate, expand their shopping/ foraging ranges, and acquiesce to higher prices.
