'AMERICA'S AMAZING SHERIFFS' = Ignored by main stream media
"It's not what they report so much as what they DON'T REPORT"....I heard some really smart guy describe Media Bias with that phrase.

If ALL the MSM didn't have head-up-butt-hole you would see a cover story with a Dozen Sheriffs in the typical brown uniforms and Smokey the bear hats talking about how they are directly elected by the people and are there to protect the Constitution.

No....we get Michelle at a smile-fest and a discussion of her dress.

Meanwhile we see all over the country Local COUNTY Sheriffs standing up and re-affirming the centrality of and need for The Bill of Rights. They're plastering images of nut-jobs and weeping inner city Mommas all over and completely ignoring the integrity of "AMERICA'S AMAZING SHERIFFS" (I'm putting that in sound bite terms) who are the real pillars of society.

YO, Star Trib Editorial Board.....You listening?

Rant over.

This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about...and it happens to be from our very own StarTribune:

Image

SUBSTANCE
AND STYLE

What is it about Michelle Obama that makes us want to stare? Is it those long legs, that strong jaw, that electric smile? Those peaked eyebrows? Those sculpted cheekbones? Yeah, it's all those things, but it's also, you know, the clothes. The skinny little cardigans, the unexpected sparkles, the unflattering yet somehow oddly attractive dirndl skirts.

Nobody would ever mistake me for a fashionista in my winter uniform of corduroy trousers and baggy sweaters. But I found myself poring over "Michelle Obama: The First Lady in Photographs" (Norton, $27), by Deborah Willis and Emily Bernard, and it wasn't because of Obama's smarts and law degree. I'll admit it -- I was looking for fashion tips. This nice book is nothing but color photographs and a few well-chosen words, and that was the smart way to do it; page after page of green shoes and flame-red dresses and that weird half-argyle, half-not-argyle sweater that she wore in London (and which produced, the book says, nearly 2,000 news stories all by itself).

I closed the book feeling frumpy and, well, short. I guess I could buy those J. Crew sweaters as easily as anybody else, but that strength? That power? That I-can-kick-your-butt-no-problem dynamism? Sadly, only for looking; not for sale.

They will continue to be ignored as they are not parroting the big news media anti gun agenda!
They are telling the truth about gun control and that is a no go for certain political groups and the media that tows the line for the white house.

I'll be on a complete news blackout for another six months or so...but I did hear that last week Rush Limbaugh said 'He's ashamed of his Country'....that's a complex statement but I think he's saying 'America has Fallen' and that the 'Real People' are now hopelessly outnumbered by the 'Julia's' of the world who see the government as 'Daddy' / Husband / Mommy.

The potential story idea of 'AMERICA'S SHERIFFS' that is ignored by the media is an example of where our priorities are.

The media is an extension of the Liberal Democrat Party.

If a writer at the StarTribune approached an Editor with the story idea of 'What about all the Sheriffs all across the country coming forward on their own and making statements about their support for the Constitution and the history of the office of the Sheriff. etc"

The editor would look at the writer and say 'What, are you some kind of Republican?"

I find the fact that all these Sheriffs are making statements refreshing....and in the next moment I realize that It will never get the kind of publicity that Michele's newest dress will.

Reagan suffered from Alzheimer Disease.....I guess that's what makes him the darling of the Tea Party.

They think on similar levels.

Isn't it funny how only rich Americans with expensive health insurance rag on universal health care. The overwhelming majority in the UK and Canada think Americans are insane when it comes to this issue.

Obviously you have never had a family member with Alzheimers, or you wouldn't make asinine remarks like this. I won't wish it upon you, but you really need to think before you type. Alzheimers is not a "funny" disease, it is debilitating, hurts the family on many levels and is ultimately fatal.

Do you make jokes about cancer as well? Apparently this is what good Liberals do now...

Please tell me what disease one of your family members has so we can make fun of it...

Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.

I'm not joking. Reagan was clearly incompetent and did horrific damage to America on many levels.

The Tea Party apparently doesn't understand that when they idolize Reagan's actions they are talking about a person who was seriously impaired and just barely made it through his presidency while being propped up by his handlers.

You don't recall his "I can't recall" answers when testifying about Iran/Contra?

You probably can't recall. That's my point.
