I understand, they're probly tryin to save money... yet "give" new members gifts fer joining!

I agree... Chinese hat... global economy er no... fer joining the NRA?!... ironic, at the least!... I, too would be bothered!

What they should do, is offer a nice US hat, on their online store, and give ya a coupon code, fer what the Chinese hat cost em, off!

Oh, we're still feigning outrage over foreign made goods? :sleepin:

So, how does a Chinese made hat interfere with the NRA's mission or your reason or joining?

Without Chinese goods, Wal-Mart would go broke.

So where would we buy cheap ammo with no Wal-Mart?

Well they are essentially making an item that is more then likely not wanted or needed.

So the materials turned into the hat were wasted on something that we would burn or toss out instead of being made into something someone else would use.

It just seems un-efficient and wasteful of goods.

How about the time wasted sourcing out chinese made goods. Which probably cost time traveling from the US and china, at the very least the corresponding emails going back and forth for the product deal.

That time could have been spent kaboozing with our policitians to get them to vote no to gun lesislation

but since I don't like the Koreans, I refuse to give money to Korean people and refuse to eat Kim Chi (Because its Korean Made) even though I enjoy it immensely

Not only Walmart, all big box and even small box stores. Target, Kohls, Sears, ShopKo, KMart, Best Buy, etc. Most stuff is made in China. Walmart is the biggest retailer on the planet so they get knocked the hardest but they all have Chinese produced goods. One could blame the unions but that is a whole different rant. :o

Take a look at the tags of the clothes you're wearing right now. Were any of them made in America?

I am sure you are correct, but that isn't the point, (this isn't a buy America thread) its the NRA, remember the Olympic team wearing uniforms made in China, or was it Taiwan or Korea or wherever it was? it just wasn't right, anyone representing the U.S. of A. should support the USA. & I believe the NRA is standing on the pulpit waving the US Flag, the least they can do is support American products, AGAIN,,I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING but for them to fight for the gun owners of this country. a simple Thanks would go a lot further that a foreign made frick'n hat, jmop msn

I understand that and actually agree with you that something such as an olympic team or an american flag should be made or wear "made in America". But, the NRA does not represent America, they represent the gun owners who live here. If they represented America then they would be supporting the current American government, something we do not want them to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those "global community" cheerleaders. In fact I kind of think it sucks.

Frankly, I know of no other non-governmental type deal that otherwise comes close!

In fact, if I were to best describe the NRA, in one simple statement, it'd probly be "they represent America"!

YMMV

I totally support the NRA That being said, the NRA is defending the Constitution it doesn't get anymore American than that, everything I get from the NRA or when ever the NRA speaks it is surrounded by the Red, white & Blue & that is fine with me, I just find it quite surprising more gun owners don't a little upset about it. I support the NRA (& always will) but I think it is a little insulting to send me a hat made in a Communist country, I would think that many gun owners are Veterans (Thank you all) but maybe I'm in the minority, any other organization, I can understand, But the NRA?? Don't send me a trinket, a simple Thanks is enough for me. again jmop msn

NRA (rant)

Postby xd ED on Tue Mar 05, 2013 8:00 pm

There was a discussion on the radio last night, regarding gun control- the origins and some later acts, and the racism behind those. The NRA was described as one of the country's first civil rights organizations.
