NRA (rant)

With assault on gun ownership I thought it best to join the NRA, I sent in my membership & thought all was well. a few days later a package arrives from the NRA, in it were the usual papers, my membership card, some sales filers, and a Chinese hat!!! Ya, A CHINESE HAT!!!! Like I'm going to wear a Frick'n hat made in china. I didn't join the NRA to support the Chinese economy. NOW LET IT BE KNOWN!!!! I did not want a hat, I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING!!! but if they want to send me a hat CHARGE ME for it & make it a MADE IN THE USA HAT!!!, The NRA, a protector of the constitution, supporting a Commie economy. I am sure there are plenty of hat companys here in the USA . The hat is going back to sender!!!! with a note of disgust, If the NRA continues to support the Chinese I will donate my funds in another direction, as I truly support the "Right to bare arms" I know, my dissension is really going to upset the NRA, (ya right!!) I just hope some others will join me and send a letter of protest, if not, wear the China hat with pride, while waving the American Flag, (better look, that may have been made in china also) If they want to send me something, send a Thank you!!! jmop msn

This post just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Can people really be this.... don't even know the word for this kind of behavior.

Take a look at the tags of the clothes you're wearing right now. Were any of them made in America?

I am sure you are correct, but that isn't the point, (this isn't a buy America thread) its the NRA, remember the Olympic team wearing uniforms made in China, or was it Taiwan or Korea or wherever it was? it just wasn't right, anyone representing the U.S. of A. should support the USA. & I believe the NRA is standing on the pulpit waving the US Flag, the least they can do is support American products, AGAIN,,I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING but for them to fight for the gun owners of this country. a simple Thanks would go a lot further that a foreign made frick'n hat, jmop msn

I think it is a little insulting to send me a hat made in a Communist country, I would think that many gun owners are Veterans (Thank you all) but maybe I'm in the minority, any other organization, I can understand, But the NRA??

My grandfather was a helmsman on a carrier in the Pacific during WWII. Do you know what he called the damn Chinese? He called them Allies.

If we're going to hate every country that we've ever been at war with (much less allied with), we're not going to have a very long list of friends.

(I don't think he ever did forgive the "Japs", though. He rarely talked about it, but when we did sit down and look through his carrier yearbook it was still just under the surface 50 years on.)
