Naah. They will change their minds here.

The flight attendant's union is on the case.

While admitting it will not risk safety for the flight crew/aircraft, they think they will be in danger from this.

Actually, I think the reason that they are changing their minds is that most foreign countries allow pocket knives with short blades already, and a bunch have been confiscated by TSA when they arrive here and change planes.

Heck, the Dutch won't allow hunting broadhead arrowheads or fixed blade knives in CHECKED baggage even on a connecting flight....

A box cutter blade that protrudes less than an inch is more dangerous than a 2+ inch knife blade. So is it because a box cutter is now an assault knife? :?[/quote]

This is really just a ploy to get better quality knifes to confiscate and auction off for higher profit!
