Hoppes, I can find it everywhere and I've never heard of a gun going bad because of someone using it.

Works for me.

Of course, so does Break Free, Remington, Otis, FLP-10 or whatever else has accumulated in my cleaning bag.

I use Slip EWL and it has never let me down. That being said I know a lot of guys who use Mobil 1 5w30 and report no issues. I'm not an engineer or a chemist, and quite frankly when people start arguing over engine temperatures and detergents it makes my head spin.

In regards to fire clean I haven't used it yet but got a sample. I really want to try it on the piston parts of my rifle as a test as those carbon up quick. Ill let you know if I think of it when I test.

Not a lubricant but M-Pro 7 is great for removing carbon buildup, and it seems to keep new carbon from sticking as bad.

i love the lubricant war threads.

no clear best, and 75% of them do just about as good as anything else, so people just say what they use and that's as far as it gets. Never fails though, there is always something new and better.
