meh. I don't need the money that badly.

We know. You've probably posted 15 times on this forum that you're all set on money ;)

I have this picture of you in my head swimming around in a huge money bin like "Uncle Scrooge" on Duck Tales with all the personal wealth comments... ;)

However, you've also repeatedly said that you want to buy low and sell high. I'm just offering you your own advice. I know you just bought your first gun last year, so this frenzy is sort of a new experience for you. However, it won't last, they never do. Prices will stabilize and you'll have missed the chance to make thousands in profit on items that will be easily replaceable. You're notion that you won't be able to replace your inventory at a similar price is not correct. Prices will normalize. THEY ALWAYS HAVE

I've also walked out without any ammo when I was in the FF range store and they had full shelves.

How about .41 a round?

Makes my paltry .20 a round cheap. Glad I didn't sell it!!

Uh???? Where is .22 ammo selling for $.41 per round? That would be $20 per 50 rd box, or $200 for 500 rounds. You're argument doesn't hold any weight and you're math is off to boot. The pricing you posted in your FS thread is right up there with the most obscene GB prices.

You need to go find your math teacher and slap her.

Now $.41 a round would be enough to make me stop shooting .22

Hey grousemaster,

Yeah, my math was off. I admit I did it in my head, no calculator, and it's been a long day with a bunch of stuff happening at work, so I'm a bit brain fried today...perhaps on those days, I need to use a calculator or not post or both. Bad judgment on my part.

However, good judgment on my part is buying low and selling high, which I've done with some stocks and other investments; luckily with more ups than downs. Yes, selling the ammo would be a good thing to do right now, sound business advice indeed.......but I also think that it'd just be a lot of hassle and not worth it to me for the PITA factor. If it was only money motivating me, I'd sell it and deal with the bs factor, but money isn't my motivator in life. Money, just like a gun, is a tool to me, nothing else. I've fired customers, walked away from other money because there's some stuff I won't tolerate... and I don't need to, so I don't.

Admittedly, the whinefest on here the other day just burnt that bridge for me to ever selling anything gun related. That was my first, and it will be my last attempt at doing so. If I buy it, I'll keep it. I can afford to do that, so no problem for me or for anyone else ever again. We're all happy!!

It's hard to believe...but I actually scored 3 boxes of 9mm Federal tonight at Wally World. It was after 8pm. Maybe this is one small sign that the craze is ever so slowly dying down...or I just got extremely lucky.

no man, not insecure at all actually. It has to do with a post from a day or so ago, a few prior to that, water under the bridge for me now anyway.

A new generation of gun owners out to gouge fellow hobbyist's...What do ya know...I'm sure XDM45 knows when every single store in the tri-state area stocks their shelves. PM him for the info and buy at regular price...But as everyone on this forum knows, he can afford to buy at all sorts of inflated prices.
